New Hairz

I'm SOO happy to finally get rid of the awful hair I had. I will miss it LONG but I was in desperate need of a NEW HAIR-DO. I chopped some off and get a dye job.. 2 color dyes and a cut and my eyebrows and it ONLY cost 67 bucks! I was super stoked! The last time I got my hair done it was at a "salon" and it was like 140 bucks for a cut and 2 colors (NO EYEBROWS) but I went to Fantastic Sams in P.B. and met my friend Brittany from Facebook (a fellow Navy wife) and she was awesome. Totally going back! SOOO glad to get rid of the greys! I just hope this dye stays bright enough until my baby shower! EEK! We're leaving to see our family SO SOON!

She Kicks!

As of this weekend I definatly can feel our baby kicking! It's such an amazing feeling. It feels really weird and kind of shocking sometimes cause I'm minding my own business and then she just starts kicking me, it's usually when I have recently ate something or when I'm laying down I can feel it.. I can't wait until Ray can feel it too.

It's been awhile!

I can't believe I haven't updated in sooo long! Ray got back in September from overseas. It was so good to have him home! We had planned to make a week or so trip to Michigan to visit family and go to the Michigan Vs. Michigan State college football game in early October, but things didn't work out exactly as planned, I couldn't get the time off of work, but I was able to get October 6th off (friday) so we flew out to Michigan that day and flew back early Sunday! One WHOLE day in Michigan, haha.. It's okay though, I'll take what I can get, any time with my family is wonderful. We ended up losing the football game, BUMMER. We didn't do that great this season, but it has been better than the last couple of seasons. I do have a pretty rad boss at work, and he lets us have the weekends off, so I have got to enjoy my weekends off of work since working there ALMOST a year now! Anyways, Ray and I found out I'M PREGNANT on 10/20/2010! I seriously couldn't believe it! Some of the best news I have ever heard in my life! I was soo happy but really nervous to talk about it so early in the pregnancy. I told my family and close friends, I posted it online a couple weeks later cause I couldn't hold it in any longer! I waited to officially tell my bosses at work until early December. I'm starting to show now and it just feels so weird. Being pregnant isn't exactly how I thought it was going to be. I never really thought about how hard it is to accept that you're gaining weight, I have always been obsessed with not wanting to gain weight and now you're supposed to and it's just weird to get used to! Once I REALLY start showing and people can actually tell "she's pregnant" instead of "is she pregnant!?" i'll feel a lot better. I've barely had morning sickness, just a few gagging incidents with certain sights or smells.. (the dishes!) I've had some ultrasounds and we found out February 4th we're having a BABY GIRL! We haven't officially chosen THE name yet, but we have ideas. I'm soo excited because in about a month we'll be in Michigan for the baby shower! It's April 2nd, and I got approved for 2 weeks off of work, I seriously can't wait! My pregnancy has gone by REALLY fast! I'm 22 weeks today! I have had a lot of gas (TMI) during this pregnancy, so it's been really hard to tell if I was feeling baby or gas, but now I can tell it's BABY! It helps because I have some friends who are pregnant (and further along than me) so I kind of know what to expect. P.S. our E.D.D. is July 3rd! Can you believe it? MY BIRTHDAY.. I have nooo idea how we timed that! haha

Where has the time gone?

Time seriously flies... It seems like yesterday my parents just got here, and almost 2 weeks later they are gone :( I miss them already, it never gets any easier to say goodbye, especially since two of the best people in my life live across the country (along with the rest of my family.) They helped me so much moving into our new place, I love living a little closer to work, I love living in a HOUSE with a YARD for the dogs. It feels so good, I never want to live in an apartment again, it's so hard. There are a lot of dogs here, unlike any place we've lived before. Infact each backyard that connects to ours has a dog or two. Some big, Some small.. & they are noisy, and so are my dogs when they hear the others, it's so hard that they aren't trained properly and they won't stop barking right away. It's kinda frustrating, but so far it seems like I have cool neighbors.Putting this house together hasn't been easy but we've really progressed.. I have pictures on the wall and clocks on the wall. I even started putting out some of my Halloween stuff (I KNOW, IT'S AUGUST, BUT I'M EXCITED!) I still have my cupcake kitchen, and my bathroom is going to have a pretty awesome theme (got the idea from one of my fav. video games "Heavy Rain") It's kinda spooky actually. I just can't wait until everything is in it's perfect place and we have everything hanging up and organized. I'm sorta bummed though, Wish the bedrooms were bigger.. I had to put a lot more into the spare bedroom which I was HOPING to keep sort of empty for a future baby?!! But that isn't happening.. atleast not right now. We have some ridding out to do. I know I have too much clothes and too much shoes and too much EVERYTHING.. and I need to realize it and really pick and choose what to keep to make room for our future.. But for now, I'm super happy and can't wait until Ray gets back to see it for himself, I am also super proud of myself for doing the move myself (besides A TON of help from my parents after we got here)

Zombie Walk

The walk was a total sucess.. I had SO MUCH FUN..
Brandy and I went together, it took us hours to get ready, I still wish I could have done more effects but it's okay.. I think my costume turned out really good either way. I was a zombie Amy Winehouse.. and I knew they were going to have costume contests at the after party and one was "best celebrity".. I came in runner up for it.. which is kind of lame because who won was was a guy dressed like cookie monster.. and the only blood he had on him was his face. The prize packages were pretty sweet too.. I wish I could have won.. But being runner up I won a zombie book called "Dead Space" signed by the authors.. I won a brain gelatin mold and some weird ass food spread called Baconaisse. like Mayo but it tastes like bacon?! Idk.. gross.! haha. A lot of people showed up, and it was amazing to see the peoples faces on the streets.. TONS of people were taking pictures of us. I hope I can find them online.
They also gave away free t-shirts.. a free messenger bag and a bunch of pins/buttons.. So it was fun!

Zombie Walk is in T MINUS 2 days :) COMPLETELY STOKED for this event. It's going to take me all day Saturday to get my makeup and special effects done. I have some of the coolest ideas for my outfit. I can't wait until it's complete and I can post pictures of it! It's going to be pretty messy though with all of the fake blood. It's going to get on my seatbelt, seat, etc.. so I'm gonna have to pick out a towel to lay down and try and find a way NOT to get the blood on my seatbelt this year cause that happened after halloween last year and I ruined a cute shirt from Forever 21 :/
Waiting to hear something from my husband tonight, not sure if I am going to. He's been busy the last couple of days. Deployments are never fun, I get lonely no matter if I have the dogs here or not, it just isn't the same without my husband around. I miss laying in bed with him at night and watching him play videogames. I miss his cooking, and just his company in general. His laugh, his jokes, his smile. The only things I love about deployments, he brings me home souveniors from all these cool places from around the world and I get to see wonderful pictures/videos. But the best part is IT BRINGS US CLOSER TOGETHER everytime. We realize what we have and don't take eachother for granted like we may on a normal day to day basis. I mean, our relationship from the start was long distance, I lived in Michigan and he was already in California. Not until after we got married did I see him for more than a couple of weeks at a time, a few times a year. Every email, every phone call, anything from him makes me smile. It's amazing to feel this loved and to be in this type of amazing relationship. I love having my husband as my best friend and having such a good bond with him. He can cheer me up from my bad days at work. He can always turn my tears into a smile. Our love for eachother grows daily and I can't wait to see what's to come in our future and our new house.
Speaking of new house, I really need to start packing, I move August 2nd. This will be the 2nd time in a row i've had to pack without Raymond around, which isn't fun. But this will be the first time i've done a move on my own, my parents will be giving me some help but it still isn't going to be the same without Ray here, like, can I hook up the computer, internet, tv and cable all right? Where will I put everything? I need him there with me to help decide these things, so a lot of "decorating" will have to wait until he's home but until then I can put the basics away like kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, bedroom stuff...
le sigh.

New City. Big City.

I don't have the most interesting life. I work as a Pharmacy Tech fulltime which has become a Monday-Friday job for me ever since we moved to San Diego. I must say I am really enjoying the weekends off. More time I get to spend with my husband. This city is a lot different than Lemoore, where we were stationed last. I miss it there, as crazy as that sounds, I do miss that place. Lemoore will always have a place in my heart. I left a great job, great friends a great house and took some wonderful memories with me that I will never forget. Lemoore was a small town like where I grew up and I think that's something I liked about it most. Plus for California the cost of living wasn't bad there at all and I make way more money on the West Coast than I did on the East Coast. Moving here the cost of living is definatly higher, we have what they call "Sunshine Tax" here. Though it isn't always sunny, it's been pretty good weather here so far, I can't complain. Except right now we live in a condo (we're moving AGAIN soon) and it doesn't have any A/C and I have been spoiled my whole life with A/C so this past week I was dying without it, 2 fans in the whole house does not cool a place down. This city has so much to offer though, there's tons of stores that are 5,10 or even just 30 minutes away.. I'm right down the street from an IN N OUT where in Lemoore we had to drive 45 minutes to the closest one. There's Ikea, Sephora, Victorias Secret, and countless other places. In DOWNTOWN San Diego there are tons of cute shops and fun bars and places to eat. I have had some great memories here already with my husband and with the friends that have come to visit, and I have only been living in the city since March. We've been staying in this condo, which is nice, but I mean, it's just not for us. We have our dogs and with dogs and no yard, it's really hard. We learned that the hard way. Plus moving to a big city, living on the bottom floor on a 4 story condo building with our dogs, all these new noises when we first got here, they barked like crazy for hours when we were at work and we kept getting these nasty notes from our neighbor saying how her head hurts and blah blah. We also actually got a complaint filed against us saying if they hear anything else about our dogs we have to move or remove them from the property. So that had us really stressing out when we first moved here, but we found a new way to keep them locked up when we were gone so they have less things to look at/listen to and we haven't gotten a complaint in months :) I just can't wait to live in a house again... My husand is currently deployed out to sea. So I am sort of lonely at times, but I have been reading a lot and started exercising. I have lost weight some moving here which is ALWAYS good news. I just need to keep up the good eating habits and be less picky about my food, I'm working on it. But it's hard. This saturday is going to be SUCH A FUN DAY. The San Diego Comic Con is here starting tomorrow, which I WISH I was going to, but I want to save money, so I'm not going, but on saturday I am participating in a Zombie Walk which is right in downtown in front of the convention center with hundreds of other "ZOMBIES" and it's going to be a freaking blast. I am going with my good friend Brandy and I can't wait. I met her while we were stationed in Lemoore, our husbands used to work together, etc.. and they got stationed out here a few months before we did. So it's great having aleast one friend out here, besides the people I work with. Well that's all for now, I am sleepy :) goodnight world.
